SOLD - .410 single barrel by William Evans - 26" x 2 1/2" octagonal barrel
SOLD – This little .410 started life as a 297/250 rook rifle. The 26″ x 2 1/2″ octagonal barrel has been turned down to reduce the weight and the top facet is cross filed and engraved with “William Evans, 63 Pall Mall, St James London”. The gun has a hammerless top lever opening with an automatic safe, and it is a semi-ejector, meaning that it ejects every time you open the gun. The pistol grip stock measures 14 1/2″, has a metal pistol cap, and the fore-end wood is unusually perfect without any damage. Retaining about 20% of its original hardening colour, this is a super little gun.
