Pair of 12g round actions by John Dickson & Son - 29" x 2 1/2" chopperlump barrels
These beautiful guns were delivered in July 1907 and have their original 29″ chopperlump barrels, with gold Nos. 1 and 2 inlaid in the breech ends, top levers, and fore-end tips. Engraved with John Dickson & Son’s bold acanthus pattern with a scrolling “John Dickson & Son Patent” banner. Both guns have 15⅛” one-piece stocks, recently re-chequered and oil-finished, and open and close like new. The gilded mechanisms have undergone a full mechanical overhaul, with furniture polished and blacked, safety buttons re-chequered and blued, and the ribs re-laid. Barrels have been polished and blacked. Housed in their oak and leather case with trade label, this is a fabulous pair, and no expense has been spared in preparing them for sale.
