12g sidelock ejector by W Richards - 28" x 2 1/2" barrels
This W. Richards was built circa 1925. Steel barrels, with a concealed third locking grip, measure 28″ x 2 1/2″, and the top rib reads “W Richards, Liverpool and Preston”. Engraving style on the action and locks is fine rose and scroll, the gun has Southgate ejectors and it retains some of its original hardening colour. Straight-hand stock measurements are 14 ½” with an approximate 1 3/4″ extension. All in all, a good, honest gun, presented in its brass-bound leather gun case with a trade label.
