12g A&D ejector by G E Lewis & Sons – 28″ x 2 1/2″ barrels

Now, this is a beautiful, boxlock ejector by G E Lewis & Sons and is No 2 of a pair.  Sleeved barrels, with a sunken game rib, measure 28″ x 2 1/2″ chambers, with walls of 35 and 34 thou, yet the gun only weighs 6lbs 1oz. Engraving style on the scroll-backed, bolstered action is bold acanthus, and the balls of the action have pierced strap work – in fact, it’s not dissimilar to a Holland Royal.  The highly figured 14 1/2″ stock has panels and drop points and includes a Silver’s pad with the toe removed.  A small amount of colour hardening is left on the gun and it’s fitted with a full spindle lever, rocker safe and Southgate ejectors.  It really is a beautiful, beautiful gun.  This gun will fire standard steel cartridges without alteration.
