12g hammer gun by R Climie – 30″ x 2 1/2″ barrels

This is quite a pretty hammer gun, built by R Climie.  The address on the engine-turned top rib reads “R Climie, 33 Nicholson Street, Greenock”.  Engraving style on the action is scroll and the back action locks are engraved and signed “R Climie”.  Steel re-proved barrels measure 30″ x 2 1/2″ with excellent walls, and chokes at true cylinder and 1/2.  The gun has a Hackett snap-on fore-end and the locks are rebounding.  A figured, straight-hand stock measures 14 1/4″ to a metal heel plate.  Quite bizarrely this is a gun that will handle standard steel cartridges without alteration.  Super little gun for £550.
