12g sidelock ejector by Army & Navy - 26" x 2 1/2" barrels
This is a rather nice gun, built circa 1905. It has back action bar-locks which, quite interestingly, are gilded, and there are ribanded fences chiselled into the balls of the action. Replacement barrels were proved in London in 1979 and the top rib reads “Army & Navy CSL London”. The gun has a semi-selective trigger system, a full spindle lever system, disc set strikers, Southgate ejectors, and a third locking grip to the barrels. Engraving style on the action and locks is rose and scroll with two panels of bold acanthus scroll appearing on the chamber end of the barrels. Fitted with a replacement 14 3/8″ highly-figured stock and fore-end, the gun is presented in a brass-bound, leather case with trade label and named accessories. This gun will fire standard steel without alteration.
